Shane Sanderson
Head Coach

Coach Sanderson is a 1988 graduate of Ripley High School. He attended Northeast Mississippi Community College where his baseball career came to an end following an automobile accident.

Coach Sanderson is married to Cathy Sanderson of Booneville. She is a secretary in the Dental Hygiene Department at NEMCC. They have two daughters: Summer, 15 and Lenzi, 12. Summer is a sophomore at NAHS and plays golf and soccer. Lenzi is in the 7th grade at NAMS and is a cheerleader.

He worked five years in Tupelo with the U.S. Postal Service before going back to college. He received his B.S. degree in Education from the University of Mississippi and obtained his Driver Education Certification from the University of Southern Mississippi.

One of Sanderson's proudest accomplishments was being promoted to Athletic Director at New Albany High School, where he assists, oversees, and plans all sports there. Athletics has and always will be an important part of his life. The testimonies and accomplishments he has witnessed and the friendships he has made with coaches is what makes his job so special.
