Michael Kelly, Head Coach, Fast/Slow Pitch
Coach Kelly is enters his fourth season at New Albany. Before taking the New Albany position, he was head coach at Jumpertown High School in Prentiss County. There he was head coach of both girls slow pitch softball and baseball. He led the Cardinals to their first ever-winning season in 2003-2004 and their first ever division championship in 2004-2005. He was also named Coach of the Year in division 1-1A in 2004-2005. In 2005-2006 Coach Kelly returned to his Alma Mater at New Albany taking the position of head slow pitch softball coach and assistant fast pitch coach. In the 2006-2007 school year he assumed to role of head coach of both sports. Over the last three years, the slow pitch team has been able to finish third in the division. The fast pitch team is still rebuilding its pitching staff to be effective in division play. Coach Kelly believes that his players should have good attitudes, upstanding values, strong work ethics, enthusiasm, and dedication in the classroom as well as on the field. Coach Kelly is the science teacher at NASTUC Behavioral Management Center. Coach Kelly and wife Susan have four children: Holley, Hunter, Jordan, and Cora Beth.

Mallory
Horn, Assistant Coach, Fast/Slow Pitch
Coach Mal has been teaching and coaching since August of 2006. She is a graduate of New Albany High School where she was a member of two slow pitch state championship teams, one fast pitch state championship team, and one girls’ basketball state championship team. She also played softball at Northeast Community College where her team won the Region 23 tournament.
Mallory is a 2006 graduate of The University of Mississippi where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She decided to enter the alternate route program for teaching and finished in May of 2007. Mallory currently teaches Creative Writing and English at New Albany Middle School.
She is married to Drew Horn of Booneville, MS.
