Babs Stepp, Head Coach

Babs Stepp is Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleader Coach. She has been coaching cheerleading for 7 years. Coach Stepp is certified in Sports First Aid, Coaching Principles and Safety with AACCA (American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators). She is employed at the New Albany Vocational Center. Babs is married to Mike Stepp and they have two children, Chase Stepp and Stacy Stepp.


Jessica Carr, Coach

Jessica Carr is a 1997 graduate of East Union Attendance Center and a 2004 graduate of Northeast Mississippi Community College where she obtained an associate’s degree in nursing. Coach Carr is a certified Heartsaver CPR and BLS instructor, AED instructor, as well as first aid instructor.

She is in her second year of serving as school nurse for New Albany Middle School. She has also been employed as a Registered Nurse for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County for five years serving as charge nurse for four years. This is her first year as cheer coach for the NAMS cheerleaders.

Jessica has two children, Jake eight years old, and Chloe twenty-two months old.

Samantha Morris, Assistant Varsity Cheer Coach

Samantha Stanford Morris is a graduate of W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany where she was captain of the cheerleading squad. She attended NEMCC for two years where she also was a cheerleader. She received her cosmetologist license in 1994 and was the original owner of the salon, "Who Does Your Hair". She is married to Wick Morris and they have two sons: James David and Sam Wicker. Samantha has worked at church and in the community most of her adult life. She is past president of the Junior Auxiliary of New Albany and has served as PTO president of the New Albany Elementary School. She received the Parent of the Year Award for the New Albany School District during the 2001-2002 school year. She is a board member of the New Albany Athletic Foundation. Samantha is a member of First Methodist Church.
